Sound Crew: To set up and manage the audio system & mics setup during church services and occasionally at special services such as Easter and Christmas.

Video Crew: To set up and manage the video recording, broadcasting/streaming during church services. 

Projectionists: To compile decks of slides for use at different church worship services and occasionally at special services such as Easter and Christmas.

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Eye for details and possess good hearing abilities. Great patience & understanding when working with different people involved in the preparation of services. Ability to read music score for slides compilation.  If you play a musical instrument and have interest in audio EQs, join the sound crew. Knowledge of video creation, setup and recording would be a plus when you serve as part of the video production & broadcasting.

Service Commitments: Each team member will be rostered for a month every quarter (4 months) in the year at the service where they can serve.

As there are 3 worship services to serve in: 7:30 am, 9:30 am & 11:30 am. AV Team comprising the sound, video crew & projectionist members need to arrive 45 minutes for pre-service setup and testing.

Training: Introduction and guidance to the audio & visual infrastructure at the Main Sanctuary / Chapel will be given.

Training on the worship presentation software and hardware used within this ministry will also be provided.

To make hot drinks and serve breakfast after 730 and 930 service

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Warm personality

Service Commitments: 1 Sunday per month. Three different teams: 1) Hot drinks preparation team – arrive church at 7.30 am to prepare hot drinks for first two services 2) 7.30 breakfast team – arrive church at 8 am to pack breakfast for Sunday School teachers and serve breakfast after 7.30 service 3) 9.30 breakfast team – serve breakfast after the 9.30 service. 

Training: All applicants will be briefed on the respective role before undergoing OIJ (On the job training).

Present anthems with 0730, 0930 or 1130 choir

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Disciple of Christ, heart to serve, commitment to develop musically and grow spiritually, not "tone-deaf", passing an audition.  

Service Commitments: Commitment to choir practices (0730 choir once a week from 2000-2130 on Friday; 0930 choir once a week from 1130-1330 on Sunday; 1130 choir from 1400-1530 on 2nd and 3rd Sundays; additional practices for special events may be arranged when required); choir warm-ups before Sunday services; presentation of anthems when scheduled; and other training events as and when arranged.  

Training:  All choir members will be trained by their respective conductors in voice techniques, interpretation of music, as well as general musicianship. Choir members are encouraged to take up private vocal lessons at their own expense to further upgrade their skills.

To prepare the floral arrangement to be placed at the chapel for Sunday Services

Service Commitments: One Sunday per month

To prepare the Holy Communion elements for every second Sunday of the month as well as special services.

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Baptised Member.

Service Commitments: 1 Sunday per month at three services.  Duration from one hour before service commencement until 45 minutes after the end of the service.

Training:  All applicants will be briefed and guided by the existing team.  A copy of the worship menu will be given before serving.

Provide musical support for church services, choir, Sunday School and other special events as assigned. 

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Disciple of Christ, heart to serve, commitment to develop musically and grow spiritually, ability to read scores, demonstration of competency through an audition in one of the following instruments:

• Keyboard: piano, church organ
• Guitar: acoustic guitar, bass guitar
• Strings: violin, viola, cello, double bass
• Woodwinds: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon
• Brass: trumpet, French horn, trombone
• Percussion: timpani, drum set, percussion 
• Harp

Service Commitments: Service, choir and Sunday School musicians will be assigned duties as per duty roster. They are expected to prepare and practise their pieces diligently, attend rehearsals as arranged, and show up for their duties faithfully.

Training: It is expected that musicians have already received private or school-based musical training, with preferably the experience of playing with school or community ensembles, bands and orchestras.  Peer mentoring will be provided and workshops and seminars will be organized to upgrade skills of musicians to help them play with greater spiritual sensitivities.

To count offering received after 9.30 and 11.30 Services

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Baptised Member.

Service Commitments: For 9.30 counting team will be schedule on a monthly basis minimum three months per year (i.e. January, May and September) and 11.30 counting team will be scheduled one Sunday per month. (i.e. First week of the month)  Duration about one hour after the end of the service.

Training: All applicants will be briefed and guided by the existing team.  A documented procedure is available for all applicants.

To create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for our visitors and regular worshippers. To welcome worshippers and serve as offertory stewards during collection of offerings.

Gifting / Skills & Abilities: Baptized members of the church with a warm personality, warm smile and a firm handshake helps too.

Service Commitments: 730 & 930 service – 5 Sundays a year, 1130 service – 1 Sunday per month

Training: All applicants will be briefed and guided by the duty Elders and Duty.  A copy of the worship menu will be given before serving.

CG Committee key tasks are; to plan for the church Care Groups activities, eg. May CG Month, mentoring the CGs, especially the weaker group / new CG, usually need to hand hold them through for a period of 6-12 months, to provide them with the necessary assistance within Church Leadership and CG Committee capacity. And, to encourage regular worshipers to join CG.   

Gifting / Skills & Abilities:  To connect and care for church members and regular worshipers; with God’s love and personal touch. And to build a stronger spiritual house for the glory of God.  

Service Commitments: For CG Committee members, to meet every alternate month, about two hours per meeting, usually to be held on weekdays (8pm to 10pm). And, meet in between when there is urgent matter to be discussed or urgent decision to be made (rarely).   

Training: CG Committee will assigned Trainers, usually within the CG Committee, to provide CG Leadership Training to the new CG Leaders and potential Leaders; To better equip them for the role.

To provide an environment where seniors can love and care for one another and reach out to non-believers.

Desired Traits / Abilities: church worshipers aged 50yo and above blessed with love and compassion for others.

Service Commitments: attend quarterly Committee meetings and, whenever possible, serve at monthly events [talks, outings, or home fellowship] and at Friday Morning Fellowship [1st and 3rd Fridays of each month]. 

Training: provided when required, eg operate AV equipment in the Chapel.

The Women’s Ministry brings together women of all ages to make connections towards spiritual maturity and service through the exhortation of God’s Word and warm fellowship conveyed in prayer and heartfelt support with the testimony of God’s love.

Desired Traits / Abilities: Baptised members with a heart for God and love for other women in Church with a deep desire to connect, encourage and care for them. Warm personality, helpful and an encourager.

Service Commitments: For WM committee members: To attend quarterly committee meetings and whenever possible, serve at bi-monthly events (talks, crafts or spiritual retreats) or at weekdays activities (introductory Bible study, prayer fellowship or outreach)

Training: Training will be provided by assigning new member to an existing committee member to learn from and be equipped for the role. Specific training will be provided when required, eg set up AV equipment for the events, booking of room

Ministering to youths aged 19 and 20, who are in the midst of transiting to a different phase of life (enlisting into NS / university / workplace) and becoming young adults. Emphasis is placed on Bible-study in a facilitated group setting to encourage YAs to take ownership of their own growth and learning, as well as fellowship to mutually encourage and build up one another in Christ.

Desired Traits / Abilities: Have a growing personal relationship with God. Perseverance in ministering to the YAs to help them see loving and serving God as the priority and applying the Word of God in their lives. Able to connect well with youths/young adults to create a safe space in the class for sharing and learning.

Service Commitments: To be present during YABC (Sundays 9.30-11.15am) as a facilitator. Caring for and building relationships with the YAs in assigned class during and outside the weekly meetings. Occasional meetings for facilitators from 11.30am-12.45pm.

Training: Sitting in to YABC sessions as potential facilitators first, before slowly becoming co-facilitators when ready. Each class (up to 3 classes) will have at least 2 facilitators, including a more experienced one

A ministry that provides the platform for young adults in GPC to fellowship and build one another up to be more Christ-like. Contribute to building a YA community that centres on Christ’s love and so become more “outward” looking –caring for, loving and encouraging others beyond their own CG members or friends only.

Gifting / Skills & Abilities:Young adults with a keen desire and a sense of ownership to see their YA community grow in Christ. Willingness to serve cheerfully, intentionally engaging the young adults to build relationships. Works well with the rest of the committee to plan for and execute various activities.

Service Commitments:To be present at the YAF sessions (4th Sunday of every month), planning sessions (committee will decide on frequency of meeting), responsibly undertake the tasks assigned to committee members.

Training: As much as possible, the committee will be empowered to take the lead in the planning and execution process. Ministry leaders will be present to guide and support the committee, as well as help nurture their walk in Christ. Other training will be provided when necessary
